  • Take a holistic approach to K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education
  • Assess teachers’ representations of engineers and engineering
  • Develop teachers’ sense of self efficacy with regards to engineering education
  • Integrate engineering into K-12 courses (focus on Ontario)
  • Create learning activities using the engineering design process or the Design Thinking approach
  • Ensure equity, diversity and inclusion practices in educational settings
  • Promote gender diversity in STEM
  • Understand the specific needs of teachers pertaining to engineering education at the secondary level
